I was reading (and reccing) enough fic in this fandom that I thought it about time to give it its own page.
Grid format (breaking up the stories by major players ... coding stolen from Doyle) available here.
Act of Redemption by Sam [copperbadge] (G)
Authorial Summary: After the world failed to end, Crowley got depressed.
Amid the Sacred Wreck by vulgarweed (Crowley/Aziraphale, R/NC-17) [non-lj link, complete with illustration by quantum_witch]
Authorial Summary: The monastery at Iona, Scotland, 794 AD (the Dark Ages): The monks have their angel, the Vikings their demon, and this can't end well. Well, not for the humans anyway. The immortals have their own Issues to resolve.
Sequel: Breathless Mouths May Summon [complete with non work-safe illustrations by quantum_witch; text-only version here]
The Crusades add new complications to the Arrangement. The characterization, and the details, and this is just so good.
Antichrists Anonymous by Pogrebin (Stewie [Family Guy] / Adam [Good Omens] )
Do I actually have to say anything to make you read this?
Ars Gratia Artis by Fahye (PG)
Crowley and Aziraphale and art, and this is beautiful.
Breaking Resolve by casira (Crowley/Aziraphale; PG-13; 2,500 words)
Riffing off the New Year's Resolution list Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett wrote for Crowley and Aziraphale. It's a good fic, but it was when Crowley took it upon himself to teach Aziraphale about the Internet that I really fell for it.
Come and See by afrai (Famine, War, Pestilence, Death; PG)
Famine and each of the other Horsepersons. Piercing moments.
Comfort and Joy by Penknife (Aziraphale/Crowley, PG) [personal website]
The fic is solid (feels very true to the books) but near the end I totally fell in love. Beautiful and bittersweet.
A Crown of Stars by irisbleu & linnpuzzle (illustrations) (R)
The end of the world -- for real this time
The dance of the red death by Nny (War, Famine; PG)
Atmospheric evocative moments.
Devil's Dance by Gehayi (Crowley, Aziraphale; PG) [non-lj link]
Crowley and Aziraphale in a Depression-era dance-off.
East of Eden by Shati (Crowley, Aziraphale, Cain, Abel) [send feedback to: misericordia @ gmail.com]
Crowley and Aziraphale play uncles to Cain and Abel. Includes some really interesting theology, and also a very believable look at how the two begin to come together despite beginning as adversaries.
Five temptations that Crowley hasn't yet succeeded in seducing Aziraphale into by Penknife
Terrific mix of fun and poignancy and hotness.
Going Home by daegaer
Aziraphale is recalled to Heaven. Crowley is not pleased. A rollicking adventure.
A Hole in the Hedge by Vyola (Pepper)
Adam's power to make things Real is creepy and a tad gorgeous in this fic.
Like New by penknife [non-lj link] (Crowley and Aziraphale, ~4000 words)
Crowley has amnesia, and penknife does a very good job of balancing the comedy and the tragedy.
DVD Commentary here.
The Last Most Beautiful Day in the World by Aja (PG-13; 4,300 words)
To quote Beth H's crack_van rec: "It's about the way pain and inhumanity and horrors keep threatening to overwhelm the loveliness of existence, even on the most lovely of days, And it's about how the beauties that surround us - even those beauties that nobody seems to notice - survive."
Not So Good As Fame (But Better Still) by Kathleen Anne (Them)
This is so perfectly Them. (About being a little bit in love and being a lot in love.)
Ordinary People by Daegaer (Crowley/Aziriphale, human AU)
I've seen this recced all over the place, and I didn't adore it half as much as I'd expected to, but it grew on me as it went along. The hints of Crowley and Aziriphale are definitely there in their human counterparts, but they feel much more like original characters -- which is fine, as it's a very good story on its own.
Pity by Sam Starbuck [copperbadge] (Aziraphale, Crowley)
This is amazing. A wrenching and true-feeling look at Aziraphale struggling to save a human and how falling into lust with Crowley is tempting but not easy for someone with his ethics.
Saturnalia by Daegaer (PG)
Saturnalia means flipping everything around.
Self-improvement by penknife (Crowley and Aziraphale)
Crowley on vegetarianism.
Seville by Daegaer (Crowley, G)
Oh, this makes me all achey. Beautiful imagery; loss and reconnection.
Some Strange Race and The Seconds Slim by Sam Starbuck [copperbadge] (Crowley/Aziraphale, R)
I'm not sold on the Free Will premise of this fic, but it becomes achingly tender and is worth reading for that part alone.
Sparks by afrai (Pepper, War)
Pepper and War and, yeah. Pepper's a fighter, always has been. What happens when you don't have anything to fight?
Survivor's Guilt by Adrienne/irisbleu (Crowley and Aziraphale, R)
Authorial Summary: The consequences of surviving immortality in one piece…
Sweeter Than Wine by victoria p.
Mere days earlier I had said I had no interest in Crowley/Aziraphale as a romantic-sexual pairing, but I couldn't resist the tagline "Aziraphale didn't quite understand all the fuss about kissing." And the characterization here is perfect.
Three Books Aziraphale Hasn't Read And One He Has by Daegaer (Crowley and Aziraphale)
Daegaer makes delightful choices which would never have occurred to me, but which make great sense.
Twofish by grindylowe (Crowley/Aziraphale)
Crowley and Aziraphale get drunk together, and I wasn't particularly impressed, but oh Aziraphale's tenderness with Crowley at the end is amazing and worth reading for that alone.
Unconscious, as some human lovers are (Sympathetic Resonance) by ineffabili_tea (Discworld crossover, PG-13)
DEATH comes for Percy Bysshe Shelley, and they go visit Shelley's friend "Ezra Fell" and Ezra's acquaintance Crowley. It's pretty hysterical -- and thoughtful, too.
What Really Happened, OR How Aziraphale Learned to Stop Worrying and Start Loving the Fandom by Violet's Quill (PG)
Remember that MLK weekend (2005) when LiveJournal crashed?
